Bought this off Ebay for £16 with controller, it is fully working with metal bearings new rear tyres and came with battery & controller. When I compare it to the HPI TA01 chassis I have it seems higher off the ground, why is this, can anyone explain???

It seems to have more spring than the other one You can see that it is higher off the ground here

I'm going to guess that the shocks are too long. Looking at the rear ones, they seem to be the right shocks, but don't appear to have internal spacers to limit down travel. There's also too many spring pre-tensioner.

The 53155 pink shocks have shorter body than the mini CVAs, so there's quite a lot of contrast between the two setups.

Nice find, car seems to be in good condition.

I think if you remove the spacers that are placed just over the springs, you can lower the chassis very easily. If this is not enough, you should consider using shorter shocks.
