After seeing years ago Lemansrc beautiful street scorchers I got inspired to build such a kind of street scorching too. But due to many other projects and lack of time the project never started. But after seeing lately a lot of other good looking street scorchers I knew I just had to start this project! After months of building it’s finally finished!

My street scorcher has been build on a M-04 chassis with TL-01 rear suspension arms and long wheel axles in the front and back. This gives the car a perfect wide when using smoothee tires. Also the wheelbase has been stretched with 2mm. I think these smoothee tires gives the car a nice classic overall look. The body is just a stock blitzer beetle with an original monster beetle nosecone. The car has been painted mica blue, finished off with some clear layers. I really love how the color came out! It suits the car very well.

I tried to make this one a bit special by making an interior and fitting an engine in the back. The beetle has now a driver figure with dashboard and rollcage fitted on the chassis. It’s all made from styrene. It was my first time making a roll cage, but I’m really happy with the outcome. There will definitely follow some other cars with rollcage :-)! The beetle is powered by an Abarth engine. I know this is a bit strange, but it looks fantastic!

Overall I’m really pleased with the end result, hope you enjoy this beetle too!

Yeah nice, glad to see it up again. Awesome stuff man. Perhaps just a glitch before with the site. Everything perfect, not overdone. The wheels give it an original and humble touch I'd say but then the shocks, roll bar and engine show this baby means business! I really like this and great colour too, nice one!

Stunning indeed! How did you get it so low with those TL-01 arms? You've now added another project to my already too long list...

These are just normal sand scorcher front tyres. Due to the wider m-chassis wheels the tires look wider.
