In 1992 this got the ungrateful job to replace one of Tamiya's all time favourites, the Blackfoot Ford F-150.

While its mechanics was quite an improvement over the original Blackfoot it looked less cool as it no longer had those Bruiser tires. The improvements feature a new gearbox and drivetrain. The Super Blackfoot has dogbones. No more hexdrives that wear out and fall out!

Alhough I most probably will find the correct radiator grille I will not do much more than that as an effort to restore it to its former glory. This will be used as a runner and hopefully see a lot of action!

Hardcore radiator grille I suppose I have to paint this guy... That is how you keep the body in place! Sorry about the Traxxas ESC, I shall get an MSC! From behind it does not look like a Blackfoot

The Super'Foot makes an excellent runner, CVA's make a worthwhile difference to the handling & one of the Super Stock 23T motors makes it decently fast with the occasional wheelie. Probably one of Tamiya's best ever trucks IMHO.

Looks good. Guess there isn't too much handling difference between this and the King Blackfoot.
