Vintage SRB project
Everybody buys a Buggy Champ these days.
But the real thing is to restore a Old Vintage SRB.
I started to restore the metal parts like the gearbox and suspension parts.
Cleaned it up because the mud was about 25 years old. Then took a metal brush and sprayed the parts in Tamiya Light Gun Metal TS-42.
I think it does the trick!
Other parts I'm using is The Competition chassis from Awesome Alloys,My Good friend Dennis used this chassis aswell and told me it looks great and it does.
the body wil be a Volkwagen Beetle and the driver
I already posted last year.
But I post this driver in this item again.
keep you guys posted.

Get the wheels from RAD as well! They are the 'KIT' and will provide the finishing touch to your well restored classic. Cant wait to see this one finished!

it´s very cool restoring a SRB, indeed ! This one looks very promising and i love the tiny NIB Scorcher. Lovely ! Congrats on buying the Competition chassis, like daddy5150 said, get the wheels too, they are the icing on the SRB cake (as well as the stands for a shelfer)

I will most certainly continue working on my old stoch srb:s. But the 'bashing' will be done with the BC. Nice work by the way. Did You use some kind of primer?

Great work, looks nice. If you have finished this buggy will you go running it! Like to see in the future if the paint will hold on all the metal parts!

Very cool idea on the paint. I think I will do some of that too. I won't get around to restoring mine for another year at least at this rate.

@def4x4,Tamiya spray paints are suitable for metal.
