I have been on holidays in France and that was really cool. When we had packed the car there was some space left so I took my TA-01 with the Golf body in Sand Scorcher style. This particular car because the action pics I have from that car are not too good: it was winter with little light. And the TA-01 allways drives like a dream. It has the speed tuned gears and the larger tires. With only a Mabuchi RS 540 it is unbelievable fast. The ESC can only just handle the gearing but is is soooo cool.
And it never breakes down, don’t know why, I have damage all the time but never with this chassis. There is one pain in the back with it though, it fills up with little rocks or sand and it creeps between chassis and battery and than it takes 10 minutes to change the battery, that is irritating. I am going to make a cover for it, one way or the other.
These pictures are just me having fun in France, without knowing I even did some practicing on the new photo-competition…!
There was a garden near the apartment with a small tarmac road. I thought it might look like a scale rally road so I tried that too. Does it work?
Anyway, enjoy , the real action pics I took I have to sort out a little, they will follow this weekend.
Regards!, Kees

Proost! they got very good wine there in France. very nice pics and a little tip, you can make a cover from an old buggy shell to hold the stones and sand out of the chassis. You just have to find the right shell! Really like the road sign picture nr7.

This is a great car-really cool little VW, and TA-01 and 02s are really durable with mild motor combos, I agree. Especially with the aluminum motor mount!

Nice pictures By the way, for a cover, the RTR/XB Manta Ray had a chassis cover. It is for a longer wheelbase, but I guess cutting an existing cover down to size is much easier than making a scratch one

One thing is for sure! you can drive under the traffic jam with your VW on Black Saturday

Brother Case1, very nice alternative livery!! The road sign pic looks realistic! Great angle!
