I tried to spray through lace for the 70s look with very poor results so picked up the 1st can of metalic blue and even more disaster so out with the 800grit and start again Im not proud of this one.

Cheers for lookin

I don't think that's too bad mate although he looks a bit like he's sitting, up to the arm-pits, in a pool of water!

Hmmmm Brother Tuff Bug, The whole painting scheme does give a nice retro look. If you are not satify maybe replace the blue with orange or orange-yellow? Either way I still think this one is very retro chic!!

Has a great 70s color feel to it regardless. I think the only thing that seems a little strange is the hood stripes, if they stopped at the tip of the hood rather than going down the front, the eye would move around the whole vehicle without being drawn right off the front, just a thought since you seem a little down about the buggy, it really does look just dandy and you should be proud of that complicated paint job.

Thanks Seth I agree the nose doesnt carry of the 70s scheme maybe I will curve the front to a point on the next paint job!
