The moral is, don't buy cheap superglue.
After one tiny little tap against Biggus' VLB early on, my shell fell apart.

You'll hear various reports of VLB banger racing, grudge-ramming and general cross-track torpedoing, but none are true.

Admittedly, there was the odd lapse in concentration which may have resulted in some minor contact, but otherwise, it was all above board and 100% accidental.

As you can see, the shell needs a bit of TLC

Also;
Busted front shock cap

ESC case fell apart during the 'nudge' incident

Wheels need balacing

Windscreen has some abrasions that should polish out

Rich's ended up in a similar state, although his front wheel kinda disintegrated by pulling the rim clean off the stub axle, apart from the bearings and wheelnut :D

They don't make 'em as strong as I remember ;)

TWINSET

I'd have been more gutted if it happened falling of a shelf
This one was built especially for the Snet meet, I just didn't think that was all it was built for
On ebay now, buying another shell

Ouch, really a shame for such nice shells (both the orange and the blue Red Bull one), but I guess that's how the game goes with a bash Good luck with the resto!

Jonny Retro

That's odd ... I suppose it must have been _someone else's_ orange lunchbox pickup that got thrown over the ramps every lap, landing on its roof each time?

Pfft that will polish out easy Was hilarious to watch the 'gentle nudging' that Biggus and Twinset were engaging in lol

Minor contact???? , you also managed to hit my Lunchbox mid jump I do think most of that will buff out though, you may have to use a course disk on the grinder though

These two and the rest were such fun to watch. When is the next meet?

Looks like the tyres and rims copped it as well .
What ashame mate back to the drawing board huh.
Yeah I agree it would have been worse if it had fallen of a shelf at least you got a run out of it.

Now that is what racing is about. LOL I bet I couldn't have done this any better, but I would try. If y'all need some new grilles, just give me a call, I think I have a couple in my spares.

Looks like I missed out on some quality LB 'racing'! What is it with Rich and front wheels? I remember him doing exactly the same at a Kent Bash a few years ago......

I most say I'm impressed. Me and my son (3 year old) have bashed our lunchies for over a year and they just have some small cracks.

But then we don't go jumping on asphalt.

TWINSET

1-Sep-2009

It wasn't so much the jumping as the jousting and broadsides that did the damage
It was hellishly funny though, and LBs are tough as old boots - mine had two packs thru it before we called it a day and whilst it didn't look in the best of shape, nothing 'original' on mine actually broke, only modded bits or hopups
