I have had this model in my collection for some time now and is one of my all time rally classics from the 90's. This was the first car Tamiya released on the TA01 chassis, after which many classics followed. You don't see many of these around NIB.
UPDATE :- Replaced 29 Sep 2012 with a mint example from TC member 'Loaded' . Cheers Paul for this absolute gem....
The Generation 4 Celica (ST165) made its first World Championship appearance at the Tour of Corsica in 1988, it proved itself capable of challenging the all-conquering Lancias from the outset, laying down new standards of handling and sophistication boasting a ‘real’ four-wheel-drive system that worked well.
The first win at World Championship level was followed in 1989 at Rally Australia, with first and second places. The GT4 became a legend and the Generation 4 entered into the history books of WRC taking 16 1st places in WRC and 2nd place in the World Champion Maufacturers and Drivers Competitions.
Thoughts & Comments welcome as always, Thanks.
