Here is my most recent CC-01 project, a natural project which I am sure others are doing as well, the new Ford Bronco shell on a Pajero. My parents had a 69 Bronco when i was kid and we drove most of the serious trails in the western USA with it. I wanted only to reference that old Bronco in a fun way since the Tamiya Version has the cut fenders that many off roaders do to the old Broncos I couldn't easily replicate the old guy. Cost is becoming a huge factor in my builds and I have a lot left to do but this is among the lowest cost trucks I've ever done and already one of my favorites. I have a lot left to do but I don't plan to pimp it out, I want it to look like a fairly stock truck. So far I have wet sanded the lexan to give a matte look and the roof is painted on inside and outside. I cut the window tint out and will fit a simple interior at some point. The real Bronco picks are on the Famous Black Bear Road in Colorado back in 1980 when I was a 4 year old.

Stockish looking Bronco Need to pound out skid plate a bit might need slight wheelbase extension nice simple tail I used those Plastic landy wheels on ebay MSD alloy warn winch bumper internal winch to come Family trip 1980 Black bear Road colo. Thanks guys, for the ref pics I set up the slide projector and took pics of them with my digital camera, one day I will transfer a lot of our old off roading pictures to digital. The bumper is made by Montanascaledesigns.com or MSD and is a solid chunk of alloy much stronger than the rest of truck lol!

Oh, WOW! That one is a super looking scale Bronco. One of the most exciting vehicles in the history of off-rading. You did such an amazing job! How I'd wish Tamiya to make a hard version of the Bronco body.

So Seth, you didn't answer before, but I will ask again, is this body from Tamiya or someone else?? Thanks again for the shots. Hopefully you and James can go get it dirty.

15-Sep-2009

Sorry Chris, yes this is the new Tamiya 73 Ford bronco body from the newest CR-01 crawler. It is really a nicely done piece of lexan and is much more faithful to the short narrow look of the Bronco than the HPi version and this has a real plastic grille, mirrors and head and tailight buckets for leds. It would have been cooler in styrene but for crawling and for how most people drive lexan is a much better compromise.

Oh boy Wyoming. That is boring. EVERY model you are making looks better and more than perfect. like this one does. try to mak an ugly one. sp maybe you will get some negative feedback ? some kind ofg new expirience ? Now honest my friend. It is a shame to see what someone can create out of nothing. You also have just 2 hands and maybe at least 10 fingers but the result. Gosh. a real real looking model. Congratulations my friend. Real more than perfect. - MARC
