AYK Sidewinder Progress!
I finally got around to painting up the Body after painstakingly removing the red enamel. I used Tamiya PS-4 and Pactra Daytona Yellow to achieve a semi-box-art paint-job. I did not experience any bleeding, but apparently there is some over-spray. All the bushings, but two in the gearbox, were replaced with ball bearings, the steering bell-crank is an SRB unit, and the front body post is HPI. For the roll-bar body clips, I used two ball ends with the balls removed and the bottom cut so they clip onto the bar. Thanks for looking! - Jim

Really great car. I remember when I read the test report in the German magazine AMT in spring 1985. They praised the shocks and the light weight.

Thanks Lowry, AMT was right! The car is very lightweight and the shocks use really beefy o-rings and are extremely reliable.

Nice car - I wish I'd managed to get mine up and running, but the parts for these are so scarce...
Looks like you've got an ESC in there - how does it perform?
Road Burner
Thanks Gruntfuggly! I really have not driven it yet, just a little indoors. I can tell you the drive-train is super smooth though!

It looks fantatsic in solid Colours. This is a fantatsic looking Car. I never seen one of these, but have to say the metal Chassis is awsome. It's got a Kyosho Retro look to it Nice one.

Thanks David, I agree totally!!
