Kyosho Scorpion project number 2!
Just picked this up tonight off Dazmeister (cheers Darren!) to replace the project I've had sitting in my cupboard for years. After pricing up the NIP parts to get mine going, this looked like a much cheaper option! I plan to get this running with bearings, updated electronics and a tastier motor while the body will be stripped and repainted or replaced with a new Kamtec one. I've seen a few with different colour radio boxes so that may be an option although I would like to know if that is paint or something else? Hints, tips and advice on running these would be welcome!

Depending on the model and year of release, the radio tub was made in yellow, black or white. They are very hard to find but you can always paint it the color you want. Good resto

This is an early model and the base is yellow plastic as is the very hard to obtain/replace battery door. This is one I'd restore to box art as when, if you come to sell on worth more.

It's in pieces at the moment! The rails are a bit bent so I need to pluck up the courage to try and bend them back :S
