The penultimate tamiya stadium truck? *SOLD*
Quite excited when I won this off a local auction site.
Very happy as I had one back in '91 which I raced in the 'Monster Truck Stock' class and now I get to own one again!
They were a very competitive truck as standard and didn't take much other than set up to make it a class winner.
Factory body was very fragile and split easily so even in 91 I had a repro shell for mine which had less detail but thicker lexan. I remember the original roll bar had to be hacked up a bit to fit the repro shell as the repro had braces moulded in behind the cab for strength. Bottom two pics are of my old one I had back in '91. Just bought a TTC drivetrain, wheels and egress b/b steering, and Dynatech 01R. And Proline Dirt paws for the spare wheels :)

Hehe thanks, isn't that what this hobby is all about? Not letting go of our youth? I think when this truck get's here my 'racing days' will come flooding back. I'm glad it jogged your memory too. Cheers for visiting

Cheers Rob! Yeah I loved racing this truck as a kid, definitely prefered this over the boomerang I also raced. Will have a TBG shell in boxart aswell soon

Cheers Del, yeah I'm almost thinking of painting a spare set of wheels black when I get a boxart shell to make it look like my old one! You will find one mate, alternatively there is the A&L
