some more work to my bruiser crawler hybrid. i painted the interior tan, used some hilux fog lights instead of my modified pajero lights, i think these look more eighties. i also fabbed a rear bumper and step bars from brass tubing ala page350 style. still waiting on my tranny to make it run. soon i hope.
also i still need to use the stock rear mounts, so the rear hatch had to be accessible, and to keep it scale i made some pistons for it.
i also replace the handmade skid plate i had with the rcp chino skid, a gift from tc member ihaveabruiser, thanks mike.
well, enjoy the pics.

Looking good C, love the camper details. my 1:1 shell has weird spring things and has snapped up and hit me in face more times than I recall lol! I really should retrofit some pistons like that.
OCD
That looks fantastic, Christian!!! All of the proportions are 'just right' for the look you've achieved - Nice work so far

Amezing work C, some of the details are excellent as on your Ogre project! If you are going further on that way, you need another nickname! Something like 'DT master1' or something lol!
7.2inchdriver

tuff bug
Man that looks great!!! into my favs for sure
7.2inchdriver
thanks guys. rad, really sorry about putting your lovely wheels on such an ugly truck , but they just fit the theme and still carry the feel of the old bruiser-red paint, white cap and chrome wheels.
delux
More modelling brilliance! I love all the little details and how they all add up to a very convincing and realistic rig..
Naxman
Sweet looking rig C! The struts on the rear cap door look awesome...along with all the other detail. I agree - the rectangular fog lights look more the eighties style. Also - it's good to see 'ol Doug McKenzie lurking in the background!
jeffy
Didn't Dan Ackroyd drive a Yugo in Dragnet. An awesome machine built under license from Fiat. An old work mate of mines father had a Yugo Zastava changing gear was like stirring coal in a bucket. Wham, Bam, I am a man job or no job you can't tell me that I'm not
7.2inchdriver
ha ha, funny stuff wayne. i think the key word is had, everyone had a yugo, i dont think you can find one actually running anymore.
jeffy
Yes I think they WHERE built from rust to miss out the middle man. Saved on steel.
Superb model mate looks Fan dabby dozzy!!

CARRERA
May be a silly question but why does it sit lower than anormal Bruiser? What mods have you done? Looks alot better this way in my opinion, I had an original Bruiser and it always looked as if it sat too high. Nice work.
7.2inchdriver
the list of mods is quite long. the body is lowered by cutting the rear mounts and making new mounts for the front. the rear has a 4link suspension in place of the leafs and tlt axles, which are not as wide as the original bruiser axles and allows the use of different rims. these are 1.9 awesome alloys, the original were 2.2 and had some pretty large tires as well. all these things help give it a lower stance with the wheels tucked under the body a bit more and a more scale appearance. hope this answers your questions.
delux
Sheer scale brilliance!
