Stunning Jeep mate! Isn't pic 2 and 10 a little too deep for it though?

Crash cramer..... I hear it has already been discontinued but the body set is still available because of the CR01 still being produced.

Cinnamon......If you click on pic #6 you can see how the lift was done in the rear. I made two pieces from sheet metal, drilled them on each end ,and screwed one end to the body, you will see this from the allen head screws, the other end holds the body posts. The front was done by using longer screws in the original locations and I used two hollow plastic tubes to raise it ,sort of like stacking washers.

Beetleman...... lol No the water is never to deep for this thing. We have'nt gotten much rain lately so the streams are low but when it is high this thing gets completely submerged. I always make sure all of my trucks are completely waterproofed.

Thank you for all the kind comments folks,I appreciate it.

It seems I already have seen this colour combination .I run in my hobby room to see if mine was still there and it was.Which white did you use.It seems more white than mine.I use the Racing white(broken white) but was hesitating with the pearl white.Very nice job (and I know what I am saying). The 58141 (original) is discontinued for years now ,the 84071 with leds,no tire marking and electronic speed controll is discontinued since 4 weeks now.Cheers

PCW064........... The color that I used is Tamiya's PS-1 white. I wanted the brightest white possible so I chose this.

PS1 ?Did you paint the car with lexan paint or is it TS1.I have a New Holiday Buggy to paint and some guys says to me that the best paint for it is the lexan PS paint but I don't know if the result will be good.Do someone have some expierience with that?

dwayne

PCW064......Sorry!!! lol TS-1 is what I used,I use PS-1 so much on lexan that it just sticks in my head. Correct, TS is for ABS and PS is for lexan. The TS bonds better to the hard plastic then the PS. If it is used on lexan it will flake off every hit it takes. After I sprayed 4 coats of TS-1 I backed it with 3 coats of Tamiya high gloss clear, hard to see in the pics but it is smooth like glass

Looks awesome that jeep! But first a question, I dont no what catalog you got from Tamiya wheir the paint colors stand in, but TS1 is in my catalog red brown and not white!! The white is TS7, TS26, TS27, and TS45. It dosnt matter but i,m a bit allert today lol! Paint looks fantastic so even all the details too! The wheels are that the 1.55s! Amezing too, and they match great by the body color.
