This seems to have taken forever to complete - 5 years to be exact. I started of with nothing more than a couple of diffs and a gearbox that I picked up cheap on a local auction site and have gradually added to it over the years. Most of the parts were found on ebay or via the TC traderoom - many thanks to those who have helped out with parts (I would mention names but 5 years is a long time and my memory is not what it used to be lol). One part that I just couldn't find was a decent rear bumper so I fabricated my own from a piece of aluminum channel before polishing it to look like the original chrome item.
Basically everything was stripped and mildly polished before being assembled using new screws wherever possible. The body was given the brake fluid treatment before being sanded and primed. Next came 4 cans of Tamiya Italian red and 1 can of clearcoat. The body was then finished off with a set of TC repro decals and a genuine (but expensive) wing mirror.
I know it's not the most economical way of doing it but I've had so much fun - for me the thrill is in the hunt. Hopefully the Blazer resto won't take this long :)
