This is my first ever entry into a TamiyaClub competition... AAaaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!! It's been nothing but a nightmare for me!

I wanted to do a really cool drifting pic of me sideswiping some small boxes but everything went wrong. Firstly I'd decided that I was going to try completing one of my TA04 projects so that I had a 'new' car for the comp. My life got in the way so I ended up not completing that one in sufficient time (when I eventually get it added to my showroom you'll understand why), so I started rebuilding my TA04 'Drift' project which was in pieces because I'd raided it for parts for this competition project. I had to order some new parts which I then had to wait for delivery before I could get it back up and running. Then I made up the boxes, slightly larger than the size I'd wanted, and cut brown tape to look suitable for the size. So I thought I was ready then the battery holder for my hayabusa controller broke so the batteries kept falling out before I could put them in so I had to tape them into the holder, then I couldn't find a clear or dry enough space outside so I had to clear a short run inside, then my route ended up bending around chairs 'n stuff than were as far out of the way as I could get them, then I decided change bodyshells so that I could re-add the lights (of which I could only get the fronts working properly)... then I finally thought I was ready again, put the battery in, started it up and... nothing. My battery was dead. I thought I'd left it fully charged a couple of weeks back but obviously it had lost whatever charge was in it. Then I couldn't find my charger for about an hour or so. Once found and battery all charged, I put the battery back into place, switched everything on and BOOM! my car just zoomed off and crashed into the boxes I'd pushed aside so that I could sort stuff out. Interference wouldn't let me take back control so it just sat there. I honestly felt like crying because of all the stress I'd put myself through only to lose it all like that...

Then I started laughing and just took a pic of my crash.

Crash! Thankfully those boxes were in the way. :D

 I really couldn't believe how much went wrong for me. I think I'll add more pics once the competition has been and gone just to show what I'd really wanted to do... assuming I can get round to it later!

I know from my comp entry this year that crashing straight through them is hard enough, and that was with someone else filming! Good idea with the crash though, looks like something out of a movie when they've run the racers off the road
