I've had this idea for a while now and as much as I love the Rough Rider I thought I could reshape a shell to look more like the BB with smaller side pods which do not need to incorporate the radio tub .I got a donor shell from Lee in a trade and I came up with this which has a Super Champ style special radio deck which is very compact ,The rear body panel has been removed and a dummy full roll cage incorporated ,the driver is now in a lowered position with a cockpit panel to sit him on.The shell nose is fully reshaped to match the BB and nerf bars are being worked on as is the front bumper /guard .The rear quarter panel lips have been shaved back too .FAV rear lights modified to fit and fronts will follow when I can get some !! side spots might be fitted at the bottom of the roof pillars and window nets will go in .I have incorporated a spare wheel and a stinger pipe .The wheels will be flat aluminium speedisc style as per the real BB .Well thats it so far , lots to do yet but I like the way its going

Amazing work, Kev! Whats the paper/plastic between rear shock and nerf bar?

Its got That SC look about it.

Thanks guys *Swarm -The idea I first had was to use a Champ shell front as the BB shell front looks more like a Champ in the way the pods and nose look - if you see the real BB pics you will see what I mean , but it was easier to chop the sides up and retain the rear quarters than to graft a back onto a Champ front . *Dante77 - The plastic parts are template formers to build / trial fit the nerf bars onto , these will be made from alu plate in time

Great build so far. Top job on the body reshape, it's turned out well. Can't wait to see the finished buggy.

Amazing work on the nose and sides. I have exactly the same project, but I've started with the easy part: rear tires. Rear outer cover, front inner cover, dremelled center portion and and one row of the tires blocks removed, just to make the wheel narrower. You can see the beginning here: [Click here]

Fantastic! I've had a similiar idea in my head for a while. I really don't like the slab sides on the standard RR shell but this looks sweet!
