After 7 months of collecting parts and cleaning, painting, decaling, getting it built and un-built, here it is... my Beach runner VW buggy.

The car is based on many spare parts, some used, and some new. So far what you see here is:

-Monster Beetle body and red chassis

-Frog gearbox

-CRP servo saver, body posts, and front bumper

-Grasshopper rear wheel/tire combination

-Universal energies front tire/Grasshopper wheel combination

-Super Clod Buster bumper (used here as rear cage)

-Propeller shaft for TA-01 (used here as antennae)

-Tamiya ESC / Futaba steering servo combination

-A mix of Autographics/Tamiya repros & orig. decals

-Handcrafted aluminum parts

-Futaba receiver

Special thanks to fellow TC members: Chris B. (Crash Cramer), and Anthony C. (Regressing), who made a special rear cage for this buggy that I cut too short and ruined it :(

** Originally I was not going to use the nose cone, so it is not properly painted. I will have to finish it in proper yellow to match the body.

The car's been tested indoors. Will have to test it on dirt sometime next weekend. Pictures to follow!

04/09/11 UPDATE: Sadly, I had to let this one go... :( One day I'll get myself another one.

VW butt sideview See Chris? That's why I needed a CB bumper! That antenna is really a prop.shaft for a TA-01! Rearview Naked! My buggy's rear bumper is inspired in these VWs 1 '9' is a magic number!

You had me scratching my head about what I could have possibly sent to you that you would have used on this car. This is a real cool custom interpretation of a dune buggy bug. I am curious about the front tire's maker, let me know more about them. How does it go?

Another great use for the TA01 prop shaft! Not useful for their intended purpose. I usually use them for sway bars.
Great look there with the Baja Bug style, those front tyres set it off nicely.

Hola Erich, las decals laterales de que modelo son?

@BeetleOne: Las líneas y los '9' son autographics. Yo te puedo dar el e-mail de la Sra. Delia Wilson, que las vende muy baratas en California.
