Cheap runner!!!
Ok so this buggy is not everyone's cup of tea but hey its pretty cheap and great one for the kids to have a bash with.
I've fully ball raced it, added oil filled shocks and fitted a 15t ansmann motor. Also fitted some pin spike tyres to the front and added a few spare hornet decals to make it look a bit better.
With the upgrades this thing is pretty fast and sticks to the ground and handles very well also jumps good too. Down side being I don't think the rear wing is gonna hold out too long and for what I paid out in total I could of got something a lot nicer but I still like it and it fits in well with the Grasshoppers and Hornets.
Please dont rip me down for owning this!!! Lol
Thanks for looking.

I actually like this one. The one thing I don't like is the back end. It looks like something is missing with the gear box all exposed. The front part reminds me of the Grasshopper and Hornet mixed. I could see myself buying this one for the right cheap price. In your pics it looks fun as any other RC to bash around.

looks fine, nice color scheme !

I like it too, don't get me wrong.. but why would you get this, if you can get de DT02 Super Fighter for the same price?

Hey Dean sounds good to me Roll on the new year!!
And Tizer thats a very good question
1. I'm mad!!!
2. Watch this space hoping to build something pretty special in 2010
Price wise, I don't think you can go past them. I had one landed from Dinball for AU$109. I needed a simple car for my brother and his young kids to bash down the beach. Had to be cheap. Bearings and oil dampers and I am done, with radio gear I had lying around well under $150. Love it. Hopefully it will give him back the Tamiya bug he gave me back in the 80's. I agree too, any car out on that track must be bags of fun!! Any Tamiya + BMX track = Fun in my books!! Isn't that why we do this?

Thanks for all the great comments guys, I dont feel so bad for getting this one now!!!!!!!!!

Bang for the buck I'd say. Yes not the most pleasing to look at but good little runner/basher for any kid. Think I'll get my son one for that matter.

does the ansmann 15t give it anough speed, as they are so cheap? cheers

Hey Dan the ansmann motor range are pretty cheap off ebay. They may not be the most reliable but the cost makes up for this. Yeah they are pretty quick, certainly fast enough for the type of buggies I like without losing control. Just make sure you use a esc that can cope with the motor turn limit. I like to use mtroniks viper esc's with the lower turn motors and use the tamiya standard kit esc with the silver can kit motors or sports tuned. Not had any major probs so far. There's so much to choose from it all depends on how fast you wanna go and how much your prepared to spend! I stick to the cheaper side as its all the wife allows me to spend but still have plenty of fun! Hope this helps.
