So it arrived quite fast and it is Indeed an MK1 :-) I was able to get it up and running with almost only the Spare Parts i still had....The Body is/was cracked in 4 Places...I first Replaced the Front nose cone with one from a Monster Beetle and as it has the Casting Marks of the turnsignals i dremeled them out and reinstalled the Turnsignals...The Front Lights are the Originals aswell as the Turnsignals and the License Plate...The Body was Repaired back then with tons of Hot glue that i removed with the Dremel and fixed more discret with super glue....i painted the Inside of the Body Falt Black....the Inner Wheel arches i painted Black...did some Paint tough ups on the Body with the Original Testors Blue Metallic Paint...The Driver Side was missing The Front Deflector Bar so i Reinstaled one made out od Platicard...The Chassis is 'as is'... I 'only' put Modern Radio Gear in it and a Vintage Race Motor and Brass Gears in the Transmission Case, the Front Beam Support bar is a Genuine Tamiya Middle Scorcher axle Tube...No Need for CRP here... ;-) I replaced the Front Bumper That was Broken and badly Fixed, with ugly/used Grey one that i Pianted Flat Black just like the One that was on the Car and it looks alot Better Now...I also Added a reproduction Stinger Exhaust...The Radio Box had a Cam lock stop broken off so i cut one out of a really ugly/broken one i had lyind around...so all cam locks are intact now...I also installed some used vintage Chrome Wheels and fresh Tires on it. Also added to the Body is one of my Home Build Cages and a Nicely Painted Driver...All in All it is still a full patina Car with just the Have to do Things that have been done, and This one will get RUN an USED!!! Hope you like it!!!
