Hi!

This is my custom built Ford Capri MkIII.
The project started with a M01 chassis that I converted to a M02 with a bit styrene in the middle.
Body is Kamtec abs 1:12 Ford Capri MkIII banger, that is heavely modified with styrene.
I built the bumpers, spoilers, exhaust pipes and the lower part of the body with styrene.
Valance in the rear also got a bit styrene, and the body mounts is styrene again..
Paintwork I'm not happy with due the stupid masking tape left residue all over the place.
Repaint is on order in the spring and in the same time I gonna make the windows in lexan.
Motor is a silvercan and esc HPI, nothing fancy, but good speed, but I think I want to test it with a sport tuned motor.
Since these pics was taken, the frontspoiler is no more, due the front body mounts snapped from the body. One of the lower side is also missing.
But this project was a rush job, as I had promissed myself to get it finished in time to our annual Ford Capri show here in Norway.

I also installed leds, front and rear.

Let me hear what you guys think;-)

The body started as a banger body with few details Cut out the sides as it was in wrong shap Front spoiler and bumper in the making.. Turbo rear spoiler Chassis with styrene sides. My model at the Capri show.

We had the Capri Perana here in SA. Tuned by Basil Green with a 302 Windsor motor in it. Scares as hens teeth these days and a true collectors piece. Capri are nice cars.

I really like what you've done to this. Those Kamtec bodies are great but the proportions are strange yet you've added some styrene and suddenly it looks like the real thing. Time to dig out that Triumph 2000 body you've inspied me to finish.

Whoa! Missed this! Brings back memories of seeing some dude with a 'wedgehead' haircut driving this and a FILA track top. Sweet job man, true to the style. I've to renew my account but type in to a search on TC, 'M-CHASSIS RS 2600 CAPRI' and see what I did to one of Kamtec's Capri shells Nice one!
