Well it's been a work in progress for about three years (most of which involved doing nothing to it!) but it's finally close to completion!

I started this after I finished my 70's style Scorcher but one thing or another meant it got put aside.

It's running my usual self-made alloy chassis and the suspension has had a coat of automotive matt-black.
I've bored the motor housing out to take a Tamiya super RZ (I think!) motor so it should throw up some good roosts!
I've got a few little details to finish then get it running then there'll be some action shots.
The body is fairly stock, the front guards are lightly trimmed and the sunroof is filled in.
The interior is one of Scollins greats and the heads are from Beetlelover are fantastic!!

Anyway hope you all enjoy. Comments welcome.

woop! you finally finished it. Turned out yet another high standard bug, even though it's only taken you far to long to get it done! looks like i'll have some more things to think about on mine now.

Now that is some cool old stuff there. I just had a Pepsi 'Throwback' on my visit to Ohio. It is the old recipe complete with Real Cane Sugar versus the HFCS they put in the modern soda drinks. I like both of your Scorchers and only have one detail that catches my eye, the body mount screws are showing. Maybe you could paint them over to hide under the stripes on your great color schemes. I really like the gentle shaving of the Pepsi front fenders, changes the 'broad' look of the standard SS. Keep on buggin', perhaps an 'Old Skool' VW motor is next for both of these???

Two lovely painted scale cars, and both in a nice location.

Great job and very inspiring for to see what can be achieved with time and effort.

Fantastic job all round.
