This is my bruiser that i bought off ebay a year ago. It was a new build then, but i opted for a more dazzling restoration by Forrest Scott of Bruiser Builder. He has chromed the entire suspension and reassembled it with ball bearings and new fasteners. The chassis is now finished. I am now waiting for the new paintwork on the body and driver figure.

Wow!!!!!Slimmy that is what I call A serious Bling Bling.
Looks very shiny and beauty-full .
Nice for the weekends polishing your bruiser after A wild drive.
Very nice hope to see the paint job soon.
Cheers Alex
slimmy
Thanks alex. But there will be no wild drive for this. It is strictly for the eyes and the shelf. I have plenty of other vehicles to bash, crash and thrash for as long as my heart contends.

very nice, seems almost a shame to fit a shell

Love the chrome! This will be a showstopper for sure.
Wyoming
That took some doing, and I appreciate all the work, but I want to paint it black and simulate rust
slimmy
OMG! Wyoming, your killing me now. simulated greese and rust? Thats not quite what i was going for. I was wanting that eye candy look.

It's interesting how many Tamiyaphiles love the mirror-like chassis (and by the way this example is truly eye-candy). I used to like it, until I discovered that all of the Toyota 4X4 Bruiser model trucks that Tamiya used in promotional pictures and videos had the chassis painted black (Have a look at this: [Click here] Now, it is also interesting the fact that, seven years later, none of the model trucks that Tamiya used to promote the Toyota 4X4 Mountaineer model had the chassis painted.

Beautiful work... like wyo, I am more a fan of weathered scaled trucks but I can appreciate this since it represents the other side of scale realism as any real top-quality 4X4 show truck could look like this. Can't wait to see the body on it!

Good grief Mark! I take it it's not gonna be a runner.
slimmy
Lol, No. no runner here. None of my vintage machines are runners. There to beautiful, rare and expensive to be driven. They are for gazing upon. Besides I have so many other runners to drive, there really is nothing to gain by driving one of the vintage.
