The Gem: Here we have the all-time favorite Sand Scorcher for your viewing pleasure...Nothing was spared in the preparation to make this the Ultimate Box Art version with the eye candy it needed to make it look even more scale and treasured....which is why this has been plated using a process called Platinum Rhodium (which is the same process used to turn yellow gold into white gold; and not chromed plated or anything cheap). All of the usually dull-grey cast-metal parts were treated to enhance the 'Show' factor, and this process is better because you keep the surface finish without having to polish it; which is what happens usually prior to chrome plating, and so sometimes if you look at those guys who chrome out their parts, the metal always looks polished away and uneven. This just puts a 'platinum glaze' over the 'clean' metal, and so that doesn't require any harsh prepping of the metal surface, therefore retaining its texture from its original cast; except now it has an amazing jewelry like finish....bling bling..
Only the best of the Rare MK.I Version w/ the bearings in the rear arms; split rear tail; front uprights with screws for tension springs, all working together with the rarest Awesome Alloys components and others from around the globe. Tamiya parts are the Original MK.I Version, with a Futaba period-correct radio that controls it all perfectly. :)
