My first proper rc car... more that two decades ago
Well guys, here it is: my 'restored' Fox. All parts are new, except for the odd screw my old Fox donated. I wonder how many of you started with a Fox. I myself not only started with it... I had it and even raced for years. Those were the days, weren't they? ;)

Classic car. I went to buy one in 86 but got talked into a Boomerang. Perfect restore job and an excellent photo.

Thx for the comments, guys. JWeston... when my parents took me (finally) to my local shop, I argued 'maybe a 4x4 would be better' when I was shown the Boomerang. My father replied 'I think this will suit'. So the Fox it was. And the rest is history. Of course I have a Boomerang now (the original, if that matters).

Very cool photo and great restore. Tell me what odd screw or few you need new and I can see if I don't have them laying about. Always a great and fierce looking car, even at rest.

Crash Cramer, thx for the offer... but the odd screw gives this Fox the soul of my original one. Besides, I don't remember what screw(s) I actually used. Nevertheless, you are gentleman, my dear friend!

Excellent stuff. The chap at the model fair said the Fox had just been discontinued and talked my dad into a brand new release 4wd Boomerang. I wasn't complaining and the rest is history too. That Boomerang is still running sweet and top of my showroom J

This has inspired me to finish the fox I have had on my work bench for almost a year. Great job, very nice car! Thanks for the inspiration.
Wyoming
Very cool looking buggy, I've never had one or even seen one up close myself but I remember the ads for them

Thx prplehz! I appreciate! Besides - and this is for you as well, Wyoming - I can recommend 'restoring' a Fox. Parts are still available at affordable prices!

I too started with the Fox. My original one is still running and gets run fairly regularly. I love the aggressive look of the buggy and your photo shows it off perfectly.

Great shot of a good looking buggy!

Great looking resto and well done!! I'm about to paint a new body for mine and would love to know what the official box blue color is. Have any idea or know where I can find out? Thanks.

There's a copy of the manual online on TC here. But if you don't find it: Blue (PC-4), Silver (PC-12) and Black (PC-5). All you need for a great looking Fox!

Great looking Fox! I hope to add one of these to my collection some day!

Well done on the resto job! The Fox was my 2nd car and I was 9 years old. Did house chores for pocket money and saved up for this beast. It was (and still is) a one of a kind kit!
