Originally bought Late 2007 and entered on the 10/11/2007. It was bought off our local trading site for what I consider to be a very fair and realistic price maybe just a bit over $300 US and most of the hard work finding parts has been complete! Everything was new apart from Technigold motor / suspension arms / Gearbox internals / Body shell mounts Body was a replica including Set of original Rothmans decals. I sourced a cockpit set thanks to Bluefoot, Had lights / lenses and other body details like the wing, exhaust etc and was missing one roof light! The Replica shell was pretty poor and I began to paint it but I couldn't apply the expensive decals to such a poor reproduction. It's been sitting on my shelf for a couple of years while I wondered if I'd find an affordable new bodyset. *** UPDATE *** 25/01/10 Well recently Bluefoot offered me a bodyset for a fair price and so I snapped it up and sold previously aquired decals and body parts to Scollins to recoup some money. Ok so for the last 2 weeks I've been doing a little each evening till now and I've just about finished, just have to put on the mirrors and the exhaust. The bodyshell is really rewarding to do and takes quite some time and many stages etc... I managed to buy PC paints, the Blue and the Yellow... I had Red already so I mixed the Orange for the indicators... The white was modern PS... I'd have found this body-shell really frustrating if I had to spray every color, too much masking etc, I much prefer to brush on Polycarbonate. I'm really stoked how this one came out and it couldn't have gone together better :) One of my favorite models ever!

Great work, James! I have a similar project to finish, but I can't really bring myself to start with the precious shell.

Way to go James - top job. Those red and gold decals are interesting to get right but it looks as if you've got them sorted. I know what you mean about not wanting to use expensive genuine decals on a not so perfect repro shell - I'm facing the same dilemma with my Grb.

I agree, James. It is silly to use original Rothman decals on a poor reproduction body. The 959 looks awesome! Great work! Cheers!

Sweet James, I had one of these when I was 14 that I wish I had taken care of but running around the prairie killed it. This beauty really took me back, what a stunning addition to your collection
