I have to admit, I was pretty bummed when this showed up with a cheap and nasty photo on the box. I don't know why they went for a photo here, given the Landy, the Unimog, and the Bronco CR-01s all got the magic Tamiya box art treatment. Perhaps the boxart is expensive and they had to cut cost on this kit due to the hardbody and the pre-assembled parts?

Oh yes, that's the second mistake. I'm guessing this is some concession to the RTR crowd - but why remove some of the coolest bits of the build?

Still - when the chassis/body combo looks as lovely as this, I guess they got my money anyway.

Quit moaning about the boxart - go and enjoy the included DVD instead! That is not included with the other CR-01 versions. Moreover, neither the Unimog nor the Bronco includes the LED kit. While I am unsure of the Toyota, I do believe that one too comes without the LED kit.

Oh dude - it's all about the box art for me. Petty but true. =)

And the Toyota doesn't come with lights either - it's an option.
