Again...I am so happy
Its a dream come true for this re re Tamiya Sand Scorcher. Here there is an old saying 'wait long long' for things that will not happen and re-release of the Sand Scorcher was one. Well, Tamiya fans waited and long enough, its re-released.
I am so glad its in our lifetime and we are still around to enjoy it, build it and ran it 'without' care :)
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...
I am so HAPPY!!!!

Just how many of these did you get? Is that two or is that four? Still awesome though.

Got 12 in a mass order with friends. I got four for myself. Managed to bring the price down through some negotiation and long wait. All of us went home happy.

Yeap, that is Mr Tamiya and me. Picture was taken back in 2004 when he visited Singapore for our new distributor's grand opening! He is a very humble man!

I will build it and still run it with care. After all those years, I still have the anxiety left in my bones to break parts that are simply not available. You have no idea how frustrated I was, when I broke the front bumper, the nose cone etc. in about 1988. At this time, breaking parts really sucked because my lhs had no SRB parts or at least not the ones I was looking for. And, there was no internet, no ebay....nothing. It is truly outstanding for me to have witness all this, I mean the strong re-interest in RC cars after 1986 that was fueled by the power of the internet in 2000/2001 and finally the re-re of the SAND SCORCHER. Amazing!

Hey Tee , I just noticed they molded in the door handles , is that a new body mold ?
TeeForce
Tom, I believe the shell's mold is from the Blitzer Beetle. At least Tamiya gave us clear windscreen.
