Words cannot describe how I felt ordering, recieving and building this car. I really haven't felt this excited over a new build since my first Monster Beetle back in 1987. A couple of times I had to sit back and say to myself, 'I have a Sand Scorcher. An actual Sand Scorcher'. And I know the purists don't think it's a real one, but frankly, I don't care

Going to keep this car pretty much stock and run it (keeping it in a box or on a shelf is just sacriledge). I still have some of the finer details to do like number plates, indicator colouring and the driver, but just wanted to get the pics on here so I could share it with you!

It's from Tamiya and it says Sand Scorcher on the box so thats good enough for me - I guess I'm not a purist

Looks so great in those colours!

My feelings exactly Olly. If Tamiya say it's a Sand Scorcher, then a Sand Scorcher it most definitely is.

'Superb Scorcher' I'm glad you didn't paint it box-art mate! I'm just wondering how long them wing mirror's are going to last though
