I've been after a nice Wild One for a long time and after some recent selling and trading I now find myself with two.

This is the nicest of the two and is very original even down to the nylon bearings. Looks like the original owner hardly ran it. I'm especially pleased with the cage as the plastic has held it's shiny red colour as opposed to the dark dull red that most of them turn over the years. The only non-stock on it are the 5257 Pin Spike Rear Tyres which are shown as an option part on the box.

It came with a Riko box which is a bit faded and tatty but still nice to have.

I'd never seen one of these in the flesh before getting this (just lusted over the examples on here) and was surprised at how big it was, bigger than I thought it would be. It's a great looking model and if you're in two minds about whether to get one then I urge you to go for it. The Wild One has a real prescence and I don't think you'll be disappointed - I'm certainly not :)

That looks great! I too was surprised at the size of these when I recently got mine.
I'm led to believe these make great runners so just waiting for some half decent weather so I can run mine.

I've been desperate for one of these for ages too and in my opinion is one of the best, if not THE best looking scale buggies going. I sooooooo hope they re-release this.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I don't want to spark a debate about this but I can't see Tamiya re-reing this one (only two cars share the chassis) but if they did it would surely sell big.

Wild Ones certainly do seem to be getting popular. 14th most popular car on TC.

I think a move towards 'scale' is a natural progression for a lot of us and the WO fits the bill perfectly.

And Richard, if I see your Dremmel anywhere near this you'll be needing a surgeon to retrieve it for you
