The Resurection

Here is what my Wild Dagger looked like back in 2003 when I first got my hands on it. Soon it will be completely transformed. I will post final picts when all is said and done as it is in parts as of this moment. For the time being here are the 2003 picts.

Update Mar 08 2010: I have just dremmelled the motor shafts so they fit by cutting off about 6mm of it as you can see in the picture below. Also I have installed the duratrak oil shocks and rcdamper shocktower. As well, I put a 20t 48 pitch steel pinion in. I can only do one motor at this time as I thought the guy at the rc store sold me two pinions when he only sold me one and I have to wait for the extra set of shocks to come in as he only had one pair (should be ready by the weekend). Waiting on CVDs which are on order so that is why there are no shafts installed yet.

Any ideas for body shells for running would be greatly appreciated as I am a little uninspired at the moment.

Update Apr 3 2010:

I am finally done for the time being. I have added some picts below so you can see the modifications that have been made. Also note the extra battery hole I dremmeled above the existing one. Seems ideal and there does not seem to be any real comprise in the chassis' durability but we will see. When I did it I made a bit of a mess to the side of the chassis but it is a runner so I am not worried about it. I also bought an extra chassis incase this mod kills the first one. Batteries are charging as I write this and I will comment after its first run assuming all goes well

Update April 30th 2010: Well I got sick of screws popping and went alloy all over the front and back of it. The old parts were worn and I thought I would give this a shot. I also have locked the rear differential for those times when I get stuck in a rut I might just be able to power my way out.
