Garage now open....
First put together of the new ‘Sideways Garage’made with scratch built parts. Based around my original theme for something more interesting to shoot my showroom entries in, this time I wanted some more detail but with the emphasis on being easy to pack away and store, then easy to setup again. For those who haven’t followed the thread on the build sequence it is here.... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=55486
I know there are a few anomolies which I will address over time such as the floor which is actually my desktop, as I said it has to be put up and packed away, but I intend to keep building on this as time goes by and will enter new built parts in the above thread. The main bones of the structure is there so I have begun to set-up and use it for the shoots. I mean how many of us move into a new house and have their garage exactly how they want it straight away anyway.... right?
Thanks for all the comments on the previous garage and build, I do like the attention to detail such as my actual speeding fine on the noticeboard in the background... theres plenty more space on there for the rest of them LOL! I also try to marry up the scale and RC themes together such as the pinions on the peg board rack and famous Tamiya tool wrench on the toolbox.
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Ha, ha I forgot to mention the little Beetle. This is a Matchbox item that I picked up in Tesco's a few weeks back and have been collecting them in all kinds of livery - I have 4 different types now. Funnily enough about 12 months ago there was a virtual replica one of the Sand Scorcher but bizarrely at the checkout it came up on screen that they were not for sale and were mean't to be pulled from the shelf?!?! Copyright I wonder? Never did see that livery again. The other odd thing about these is that they are plastic and not the usual Matchbox diecast?
