I have recently gone crazy on Scorchers, here is another Ebay find, I saw this & placed a last minute bid not expecting to win, but did. I suspect a few TC members were watching this as it came with 3 bodyshells. The chassis is in good condition, runs smoothly & is relatively free from damage, just the odd mark here & there. The wheels are rough rider Sand Blasters, part worn but in good nick, they should clean up nicely. The 1st bodyshell is a worn sand scorcher, no cracks on the main shell just the driver door pillars missing & a hole in the roof. The paint is worn but this shouldn't be too difficult to restore. The nose cone has had a shunt, & part of it is missing, not sure wether to restore or replace now the rere is here. This comes with the licence plates, VW badge & windscreen. The 2nd shell has been painted orange/black, not much paint to strip off though. The worst bit of damage is a piece of wheel arch missing on the rear combinded with a crack that runs up to the rear window. There is also a small crack on the front wing. On the plus side both the rear taillights & both chrome door handles are on the shell. The 3rd shell is a Ford Ranger, this is surplus to requirements.

well done! I did place a couple of bids, but it went over what i wanted to pay in the end. I'm sure you'll be able to work your magic on that rear wheel arch.

I built several cars with SS bodies in the '80s and usually removed the windows and wind wing frames to lighten them and give them the 'Cal look.' At least you've still got the fender beading.
