I purchaced this little thing Saturday. As far as I know these have just been released here in Denmark, so I was quite excited to get on :)

The best thing is my girlfriend actully assembeld togheter with me, gotta love that!

Regarding the lack of paint job... I am still thinking about the colors.

Option 1: As box art, but with pearl white insted of white and Ford 'red fire (G2)' insted of blue. Alu wheel covers.

Option 2: All Ford 'red fire (G2)' and no decals. Alu wheel covers.

Option 3: Inspired by D-Spec's fantastic Super Champ, a Red Bull theme - but more like the can.

so what do you guys think regarding the paint scheme?

EDIT: just uploaded a Red Bull mockup pic.

Bad bad paint skills, but you get the point :)

Great jobs looks good so far. Your girlfriend helped!!! very lucky man, she's a keeper!! It has to be the red bull can option. This is a re re express yourself with this shell. Then if you want pick up an old vintage shell and go box art... Lets see it soon...

Thanks Could be nice to have the shell chromed and then adding red, blue and yellow/gold as dark clear coats, but I guess that would be kinda difficult heh...

hi
Nice work I am trying to decide on colour schemes for Champ body and Scorcher :/
I think the pearl white red might be nice

looking forward to seeing your choice

I'd go all out match colours and finish of the original can, then a few clear coats and lots of polishing. Also, maybe your keeper deserves one of her own, or a 'Wild Wendy' !!!

My vote: Red bull with alloy wheel covers!

Thanks I will keep this showroom updated, and if possible make a worklog.

SRB Bloke:

Could look really cool, but can't really decide yet =) The keeper is not that interessted in RC, there is things that she would apreciate more than that

Finally found some real Tamiya paints!!! The are clos to impossible to find here in Denmark because of som regulations. Only one rouge hobbystore has them Now i've got 3 colors... Now all I need is more time lol... And some cheap alloy wheels!
