Sorry I haven't posted more updates, I finished the rear inner arches and started to lay down paint. First black primer, then silver then a light flat tan then pumpkin orange, I will need these as weathering base later. I went with Orange because its one of my favorites and a common bug color where i live. I didn't want the the typical black 'apocalypse' color. I have also slightly changed my course in regards to the concept direction where I want my finished car to go, however expect it to be more in line with my favorite type of model vehicles when I'm done. ;)

ready to start the weathering tail shot side, I have a thing for green doors I can't believe how much time is in it already rear arches added a simple flate area to hide gearcase Just a simple form to keep from seeing through cut foam to fit 2/3a mini packs 2/3A mini pack adequate for my 55t motor

Alright~ the viking crusier is taking shape! I'm curious tho, I notice you seal the sun roof. Any reason for that or just a design issue?

Thanks guys, no reason for it other than I personally don't like sunroofs on cars. Also I will have a big roof rack/light bar so its not needed. As for final finish now the work is just begining of starting to layer on the years of age and give this bug a history...or well what looks like history since its a New built technically lol!

I don't like sunroofs either. Love the missing fuel door. You are the master of rust keep em coming.

I thought the Viking was the driver, not the passenger or is this a UK car?? I like what you have done so far, seems right up your ally. I haven't been paying too close attention to the re re builds, but did it come with the black mechanics box or did you paint it black to hide the clear??

Nice work, especially the inner fenders you added. Really helps the stance.

Thanks guys. Chris the heads are not actually determined yet since they are just sitting there The box was painted flat black as I didn't like the clear look

Lemme guess---you are the driver and Moondoggie is the 'viking' passenger

It must get boring to keep hearing the same thing, but here goes. Awesome looking beast, fantastic work so far, great ideas done very very well. Lets see more... quick question what runtime are you hoping for from your batt..?

Wyoming

8-Apr-2010

Thanks guys. it should give me at least 15 minutes, although cheap 1500 sub C nicds in my CC01s give me 30+ minutes with same motor type so these might surprise me although the Scorcher isn't geared as low even with the slow gears in it since it really moves even with the 55t lol!

orange? Yes, we should have guessed that. Might be better than black in the end too. Looking very realistic so far!

Thanks guys, I have changed my idea a little so the end result should work well with these colors I think.
