Well, I got me a finished body kit because I have little hobby time at the moment. But than this nice interior came with it and that took me MUCH more time than painting a body... But I enjoyed painting the interior, it adds so much to a model. I had to add a roll cage as well. Very simple: a closet handle and some straws. Seen it somewhere on TC. The effect will be good in the finshed pictures I think

Besides that I have finished the chassis. I sprayed the plastic parts with plastic primer and than with alu spray, looks very bling and just like it is expensive ;-) But just wanted to do something special with the pretty boring chassis. I think it is very solid though, so I threw in my 12 turn motor and no limit ESC. With the alu motor mount, drive shaft and ballraces I think it will fly. Maybe, just maybe I should put an old body on it the first time I drive it...

Anyway, I have a little improvement to do on the body, take pics, and off it goes! :-)

here we are, ready to go so nice painting this where do we go? wheatered wheels sprayed chassis 1 the heads took me a while... example: simple roll cage idea from TC 1 Not that great but personally I like these notes 1 inside the body 1

Beautiful job brother!! What I REALLY like is the silver panel/storage area. makes the spare wheel look so distinctive. BTW, what is that read box looking thing behind the co-driver? I can never figure that out!

Looks incredible! Did you spray paint the entire cockpit black before you went in to paint the drivers, interior, etc.? Also, it looks like you used some kind of putty compound to seal the helmets - what did you use?

I am just about to build the same cockpit for my Lancia (DF-03Ra chassis). I have been scouring forums for tips. Any suggestions from a pro?

Very nice (erg mooi). Your detail work is superb.
It is time that Tamiya releases some modern 'rally heads' though. Open helmets with radio gear are needed. The helmets on these heads aren't used in rallying for a long time. (For the Delta period they are OK).

Thanks for the great reactions guys! @VS I also don't know what the red box behind the co-driver is. Tamiya molded it in like the spar wheel. Might it be meant as a gas-tank? @ Bill mill: look in the showroom of Victorious secret for examples of interior, they are the top. And when you look in the showroom of deemiller you will finf the Hummer ' the camel' There is a link to a forum topic wich includes painting drivers. Hope that helps. I did spray the whole interior with plastic primer, than flat black all over and than handpainted the details with revell and humbrol enamel (small small brushes) Finally the cockpit and driver decals in this kit really do the trick. And the filler on the helmets is just wood household filler, nothing special but glued the helmets solid and than a couple of layers and sanding before it was smooth. Take your time one step at a time. In total I have worked like 20 moments for 15- 30 minutes on it I guess.
