This came about really from just having the Shell and Wheels/Tyres left over from a recent Trade. I got a job lot of parts from the States and I had made a an alloy chassis for it. Another Trade here (thanks Mario), got me an actual SRB chassis plate, which was supposed to go on my runner. It was far too good to be used and abused so, I swopped them over. The shell itself, is one of the early ones, with the smaller front arches. I've been on the look out for ages for the glass and also the rear bumper to no avail. I have made my own glass from clear plastic sheet and the rear bumper is from plasticard covered in alloy foil tape. As for the driver, he does look to me, like a dork in original guise. I gave him a hair cut with the dremel, added the Stetson from the Sand Rover guy, in the hopes it hides part of his face in shadow. Bonnet/Hood lettering is picked out in Alloy foil, as is the window surround and door handles. The chassis has a MK1 balle raced gear box which has been opened out to take newer motors. I decided to hold on to the AYK motor I had up for trade and use it in this. The rear cage I made a long time back, before the rere became widely available. The front is pretty much standard apart from the shocks. I decide to do the Kamtec radio box matt black as well. The Ranger shell sits higher on the SRB chassis and the clear box just didn't sit well to my eyes. The JPS Decal set is, of course, the most excellent work of Stickerbod. All credit to you Andy, this really is the icing on the cake in my opinion.

Regressing, this is a really nice ranger! Beautiful It would look awesome with one of those rear suspension kits from RCchannel that keep the rear end from moving in that VW like ark. dante77 has one on his. I just got mine in the mail today. But i dont have a ranger to put it on. I guess a scorcher will have to do. Fantastic work though. Well done

Oh, I forgot to add. I love the color scheme on this. The white wheels do look good. but some pargu2000 alloy wheel covers would be the icing on the cake. well, besides the great stickers from the bod man Also what main color did you use for this body? I just gotta know. It looks like a dark green?

Thanks for the commments guys. @ Mr Alan. I made a card template to get the actual size. Cut it out with a tab top and bottom. Socred the tab lines,l then put several cuts in it to allow for the curvature. When folding it to secure in the shell. @ Mr Duke its from a Pajero. @ Slimmy Nice idea the alloy wheel covers. I was going to spray them gold to match, but the are new, it would be a shame. You can always do a trade for thsi Ranger for your RC Channel KIt LOL. I'm bored now, could do with another resto project. It will be going in the Trades section.
