Two months ago I got this one completely disassembled as an unfinished project from the bay with many new parts like wheel + tyre set, original decal sheet (missing the number plates) , and serveral part- sprues. And a shell in bad condition.

Besides my shelf queen I wanted for a second one for running.

Filling the dampers was a nightmare! It took me about 3 hours - and still there are very small bubbles....

The Porsche now stands on Kyosho Inferno Mini X-Pattern tires. They fit quite good on the used rims.

After restoring the chassis I got a repro shell from TBG. Unfortunately it has no more door handles and less detailing at the rear bumper, because of demolding problems and due to copyrights.

I used the metallic blue colour again. I like it much better than the box art blue.

Today I have let her out on the street and run her a few careful rounds.

She ran smooth, fast and fine! 959 now your are mine :-)

Well done! Mine is still sitting in pieces in a box. Did you change the rubber tubing on top of the shocks? If you did, what did you use? Mine was totally corroded and yellowish.

Thank you for your kind comments! The decal sheet was part of the auction
I got the vinyl tubing from an ebay shop (model build) as new spare part.

Beautiful runner! I'm going to do the same, where I can find these tires? I've looked at them but I only find glued with tires...
