this TT01 based car was built for drifting, alloy suspension parts, alloy dampers, solid rear axle with UJ`s and one-way front diff, carbon top plate and a few other bits, fitted with a Retro Racing Mk 1 Escort bodyshell, painted yellow with a black bonnet, will add some more pictures when i`ve used it a bit, won`t look this good for long!

Looking Good.....should i use it? Painted the grill area free-hand, not too bad. Large rear overhang gives room for TT01 bumper. Small (non-exsistant!) front overhang, no bumper.. Looking good outside on the gravel.

I heard the shell is very brittle, and instead of split it has the tendency to shatter - it would be a shame to wreck it as it looks so incredibly nice But of course it will look very good in motion! Choices, choices... A bigger wallet might help?

Very nicely finished off with the number plates. Custom made?

WOW This is a really awesome model! It looks like the real 1:1 '70 Escort! I like it very much!!! I love the 4th pic! I would like to see it with real front light.
Please can you add some more pics? I am curious to see the solid rear axle, it was a project i wanted to do with a lunchbox bodyshell so i am curious to see how you fitted the rear axle to chassis!

I remember being about 5 years old watching these blast through the forest stages of the RAC rally, memories!, you done a good job on this one, looks great and needs to be thrashed on some soft dirt and gravel now!

Yeah that is nice! As usual, would look great with a driver, even some roll bars.

Brilliant job!

Hi, Nice colour. We recommend to use water based colours. High solvent content colours will make the plastic harder.

great looker I wish I bought a real one now before they where going for stupid money. These shells are fantastic but if you are going to run be warned they are brittle.

This reminds me of my yellow MK1 i owned back in the 80`s[i was nnnn,19],it was a 1972-1300L,i cut the tranny tunnel/bulkhead out and dropped a 2L Pinto in it,with a Rocket gearbox, hooked up to a van diff,it topped out at about 95MPH but got there really quick. It was eventually written off by a blind old bint in a 2002 BWW who pulled out without looking,i had no chance of stopping and had to aim for the rear axle of the BM,the impact destroyed both cars sadly.
Anyway,i had loads of fun in that car,so thanks for the reminder, great looking model
