So finally finished the small touches to the front and got it running with the new wheels.

I still have to add the rear motor detail, but hope to run this again at the weekend to get some cool action shots.

2 3 2 Still need to add one of these :)

Looking spectacular kid. this has always been a spectacular buggy and it just keeps getting better and better. You have done a fantastic job on the wheels and tires. It is truly a scale work of art. I think we have found this months tamiya 101 winner. heres an early congrats

I really LOVE those wheels!!! I tried something similar on my project, but keeping the original wheels and narrowing RR rear tires to fit on the front - this looks much better though...

Excellent shots, it has a completely different stance now with the new wheels, more menacing. Can't wait for the action shots

I prefered the old version, but looks cool nonetheless! The engine needs some mods, it has 24.5 hp in this setup!

I think you did a perfect job again, also I must admit it does not match my taste. difficult to explain, but I have the feeling that somehow the color scheme does not fit to the character of the car anymore...
Or I am biased by the perfect appearance of the class 5 version with Tomahawk/Scorpion rims. And yes, the engine is a must!

Others can say what they want, but the paint job is sweet - one of a kind unique, I like it a lot. Tires & wheels are nice too - for a particular venue. Nice thing about this kit is that it can be many things as Seth and others have proven. That motor install would put this one over the top!

Majority rules! The paint still rocks. I think the new Baja look is much more agressive and enhances the paint even more. Definitely one of the top 5 SS.

congrats on the Tamiyausa contest James, this bug was one of the very few that got me interested in the SS, because its not box art its so personal and so sweet...if you had jumped it I think the contest would have gone other way

Toykid

4-May-2010

Thanks Seth, that means a lot to me coming from you. But I don't think even the best jump could have clinched it. For me this was a facelift of an old project. You put way more time into the comp, it really showed and deserved the win.
