This is the restored version of the light blue Avante in my showroom. Just needed a good clean and a few adjustments. I have used a TBG body, wing and undertray and I have to agree with some of the other TC members and say I was not all that impressed with them. The cut lines were quite indistinct and some of the holes and cut outs didn't appear to be in the right place. As you can see from my third photo I ended up cutting a large hole where the body sits over the rear suspension upright because I stupidly cut it where the body was marked! Overall the quality of the polycarbonate is very good and I am happy with how it turned out, but the body is just not quite as good as it could have been .... Should also add the ScreenPrintDigital reproductio decals are excellent and well worth the money...

Thanks Slimmy, yes I am pleased with it. I would like to get some new tyres for it though. Need to keep a look out for some of those Eagle repro ones. Thanks for the kind words...

Thanks chaps for all the comments. I think the TBG bodies are now becoming well known as being 'difficult'! Its worth the effort in the end though, thanks again....

Nice job Lee. I too had the same problem with the TBG bodyshell (their Celica Grb is even worse - about 6mm shorter). All you need now is an Egress to go along side it

Hi John, couldn't agree more a nice Egress would look really good sitting along side this Avante....hopefully any day now Its a shame about the TBG bodies as they are reasonably priced....
