I threw this together in a couple of hours last week and needed to post it before it gets packed up. I had fun building it, but wish it was easier to find a CPR unit for them as it has no electronics in it. I had bought a Porsche 961 ages ago to scavenge the electronics from, but they proved a bit hacked and non respondent, so I have made this model with no electrics save the motor which came in a trade so very long ago that I have forgotten who sent it to me. I think this was technically my SECOND Tamiya kit back in 1987 and I believe I picked it out on my own and paid for it at a now closed hobby store called Hobby Center. It took me back while I was building, all this small scale made for more fiddly fingers and a curse here and there. I really think I will leave it X-ray colored, but it looks a bit bare with no CPR unit in it.

When I get some time, I will have to search up a CPR unit and also my vintage photos of the way my old car looked before it was lost to wherever it went.

Nice tail, and a new motor. Wall-E approves of his new shelf mate.

If you liked those pictures, you should see these...
We might have to start a trailer designation at TC

Thanks all, you have found me out, Wall-E is really the muscle behind my collection, him and the Pit Droid on another showroom entry. I must say I admire Wall-E's resourcefulness and work ethic over the Pit Droid's.

I can't wait to move, but it does have its daunting feelings too. Oh well, my showroom will have some updated photos and maybe some other TC members will get some parts they have been waiting for me to find as well.

Thta is cool Chris...Their is obviously an art to these smaller models and as you state you need smaller CRp units etc which are not that easy to find(well at least not at a reasonable price). I'll keep an eye out down here for you.

Nice. How well did those Tamtech's run?

Well, as I remember, they ran too fast to run after, stopped whenever they hit a tiny pebble. I really needed to have a carpet track available back then, but they were nowhere to be found in my neck of the woods. This one won't run, but the Porsche 961 that made me get on this kick will hopefully run one day.

Luke, it is! Good eye. I too used to have one as a kid, so thank you eBay for once again draining my wallet and reliving my childhood.
