Well, I managed to sneak a couple of hours on the body modifications today. I've picked a lot of ideas from real reference photos and seen every SS project on this site. I've started on the rear end because I'm not sure how to create my idea for the front, but I've started the planning stages. The projects that you've all been putting on TC are awesome I've got a lot to try and live upto. I reckon theres about 3 months work for to do on the body, plus an idea I have for the interior.

All comments welcome good or bad !!!

Thanks for looking.... Checkout the chassis http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=99125&sid=32228

That body modification looks like one of those Custom Modifications done to Bugs in the late 70's early 80's which I personally do not like at all...but then again that is only me....but i do like your chassis!!!! A real Split Bug conversion would look alot better...but again that are only my 02 Cents....

Well I only got good comments this time around. I love the split window chassis. looks great. I dont know about the spoiler. maybie its not finished yet. You did such a great job cutting out that engine cover. You should figure out a way to hindge it so it could be lifted up or shut. to expose the detailed kubelwagan engine. Well thats my two cense. keep up the great work.

Thanks guys for all your comments. @slimmy your right the spoilers not finished yet, and I've been considering a hinge on the boot but I'll come back to that later. @Frank-Lux your right I've been picking out a few 70's-80's features and was hoping to bring them into up to date. (I've got few spare bodies if I fail). All comments welcome, they all help. Thanks again..

This is looking really good and if this is going to be a split-oval when finished; potentially awesome! Keep up the great work - love part 2 as well

@Singleseven I templated an oval first but then saw a few on TC and thought I'd try this out instead...
