Found these on Yahoo Japan. Part numbers are unknown to me if any exist at all. Possibly issued at a hobby event without an official number. This is one of the only two sets I've ever seen still on the sprues. The other set I spotted on YJ came bagged with non-Tamiya header cards, indicating that it may have a retail item at some point. Another interesting note is the presence of black and red plastic in both of the the sprues. I can't imagine how this got into in the molds, but it does suggest that TA03F gearboxes molded in red may also be out in the wild. If anyone has any further information or history on these please feel free to share. I've done a bit a searching myself and have yet to find any record of it being distributed.

Here is someone who also has transparent parts on his Tamiya TA03F, it was used for display by Beaties at the time according to him. So I think these were meant for the LHS' only to show off the guts of the car

Very nice I love these rare (and stupid, as it is even worse then stock plastic) parts Still looking for a white tub and white shocks for TA01

@Origineelreclamebord: Thanks for the info!!! I suppose there weren't many of these made then?

@focus 1 : Hello friend! Good to hear from you, Anders How have you been? I picked up a set of transparent CVAs several years ago, but never had car that I wanted to use them with, until now

@ Tizer: Agreed - completely pointless, but so ridiculously cool in spite of it!

This really rare. I believe that these parts were made for the RC-shops to display them, so most of the time they were already build. There are also clear parts for the TL01, but I only saw them once on a site. Would love to have the clear tl01.

@riekdrifter: I do recall several TL01 chassis sets being sold through here and Jason's store about 4 years ago, but the TA03 set was a complete enigma for me. I've only seen them appear for sale twice, and I jumped on them this time around. As you can imagine I was quite surprised to see an built example here on TC!

I am fine tank you. Just finished sorting of my walk in RC closset today so now I now what lays in every box and I can actually walk into it Nice to see that you are still going strong. This is very cool parts, but I tried to drive with my very cool transparent shocks, and that was not good. Suits absolutly best as a show stopper!
