Hacker A20-12XL Motor
Wahey, more money spent :D
The EZRunner motor didn't run well - it 'cogged' at low power, so not much use for slow crawling b)
Had a helluva job finding one in the UK, but Park Aero ordered this one in for me - excellent customer service!
Was suggested by Junfac to try this one and it's great - cogging has gone!
It's a little slower than the EZRun, but nothing drastic.
It's an outrunner, which means the front plate (where the wires come out) is stationary, but the can and 'endbell' spin round with the pinion
Because of it's small size, the mounting holes are at 16mm or 19mm centres, so I had to ask Sideways-King to cut me a motor mount plate - Cheers Chris, works great!

I use this motor in my 30 size 3d plane and it gives around 750watts

Alright Dave
I know precious little of these watts you speak of, someone suggested I buy it, I bought it - Life's easier that way

Its a great idea to use an outrunner. Do you feel that a spinning endbell gives more inertia and hence more torque ?
. The motor plate is really lovely, great job.

Wow, that is a small motor. I thought size matters! LOL!!

The EZ Run is a great motor for fast running, well suited to the Slash etc. New motor looks interesting will probably stay cooler with all that spinning!

The EzRuns are nice motors, but they indeed can't run at low speeds at all - not even in my tourer!

Wow...the whole thing spins around..weird but cool.

Here's a vid of an outrunner [Click here]
The look great in Clods where you can see 'em spinning

There's a good vid of the endbell spinning about 1/2 way down on the left here; [Click here]
