I remembered that I had old Lunchbox and Pumpkin in bits at my parents house, which I used when I was a kid. I sorted through the bits and found I had enough parts from both kits to make a running Lunchbox, as it was never going to be a restoration project I thought I would build it for my 7 year old son to thrash about.

* Update 22/06/2020*
It's been 10 years since I built this for my son, he is now 17 !! The Lunchbox was retired about 4 years ago when the old trusty silver can died and one of wheels the decided part company with the rest of the truck and sent the Lunchbox flying down the road on the other 3.

The lunchbox then got replaced with a Bush Devil (more to come on this) and the Lunchbox found It's way yet again, broken and neglected dumped In the bottom of a cupboard, that is until now..... It's time for another restoration and this time my son is helping me do it.

I've added a new photo of the Lunchbox in it's current state.

26 Started with the shell (I was a A Team fan) 22 Crack fixed and sanded ready for primer 28 First coat of colour(can you guess what it is yet) 28 stencil out of masking tape and added the green 28 Final stage, stickers added 31 Lunchbox chassis, broken in all the usual places 32 Nearly finished, just the wheel todo 25 44 2020 time for another restoration!

I love it... i've seen scooby doo decals on ebay... Are yours hand painted cause they look fantastic. Its a shame to let your son loose with it, but they have to start somewhere....

Wow thanks, I didn't think I would get such a response

The blue and the green have been sprayed, I made the green design by cutting out the shapes in masking tape. The flowers and the Mystery Machine logo are indeed stickers.

I may have to buy another shell and revisit the A-Team theme !
