NIB Mk1 Hotshot ***SOLD***
Just received this beautiful Mk1 Hotshot. I told myself I would not buy any more cars for a while, but an opportunity appeared that I just couldn’t refuse. I don’t know of any other MK1 NIB’s on TC. Let me know if there are any others, I'm just interested how many are out there. For those who don't know this is not just any old 58047.

You lucky, lucky person. You are correct in that there are no other known Mk1's on TC. Do you mind divulging how much you paid for it?

Ok guys I'm not that silly. Take a closer look. It's not just any old Hotshot. There were 2 releases of the original Hothot not including the rere. This was the first of the 2. There are a lot of differences between this and the more commonly know Hotshot.
Wandy
It just goes to show, judging by the comments below, how little knowledge most people have of the Hotshot's history!

Congrats, that's a great and rare kit to have!
Not sure if everyone knows about the two versions of the original release of the Hotshot. If not take a read (for them, not you c_smith. Think you already know ) ---> [Click here]

BOOYAH!!!!!

The resistor is a new one to me mind....what's the difference between the Mk1 & 2?
c_smith
Hi Wandy. Where were 2 different types of resistors the first was a floating loose resistor in the turned aluminum heat sink. The second was glued in. But I’m pretty sure there was some overlap changing the resistor between Mk1 and Mk2.
Wandy
Well I never, that's another little fact I didn't know about this kit. I distinctly remember my Mk2 back in 1985 having the floating type though.

That does seem to be a verified rare NIB Mk1, unless of course any owner of the other 29 can improve their pictures to show us their version. Nice find, you are lucky fellow, now if it just had those hens teeth gold wheels in there too.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
