Very nice touch to make the inner fenders gold also. This is really a very good result. The scorcher paint scheme looks so simple but is really hard to get to a high quality result like this one.
The lights are the part that annoyed me the most as I had painted the clear lens but realised after that they don't fit over the plastic lights. I just painted the rear plastic and masked the area off to do the brake and turn signals by hand but they need more work. I may add a set of lights to it at some point and re-visit the whole setup.
Slot rims were from a guy in Germany who does a run every so often. He's great to deal with and they arrived really quickly and were about 70 Euros with shipping.
Great looking Sand Scorcher, I did the same thing with the back lights myself first time round. On my 3rd body I cut the white plastic lights off and stuck the (painted on the inside) clear lenses on there as I’d seen someone else do it on here.
Great work, the Big Oly theme works well with the Scorcher! I did a Blazing Blazer version a few years back - very cool too see more Big Oly inspired models!

I have just finished painting my first Scorcher in what must be almost 35 years. I will post my one tomorrow.
One question, rear lights, are these the clear lenses painted, if so how did you trim the area you dont need?
