I wanted a Camel Trophy truck. I've seen many Defenders and Range Rovers, but no Series Land Rovers. So mine had to be 88' Series III based on the 1983 event in Zaire (now the DRC). This was the only Camel Trophy event to see a Series Land Rover. Started this on a scratch/custom-build aluminium chassiss, but got frustrated and swapped out to an MST CFX. THAT didn't work with hood and dash clearance so swapped to a CC-02 chassis which is a perfect fit for it.

5 2 5 That raft is not mine. I want to tho! 1 With Ndebele hut 1 2

Welcome to Tamiyaclub! This is looking very nice. I love the combination of the scale build and Wild Willy as a driver and co-driver. Is the body also scratch build? Would love a raft like that also

@TamiyAstef planning on building one. I have a basic raft made from pool noddles but it's not powered. And, thank you!!

Wow that looks real. The raft crossing you’d be hard pressed not to think it was the real deal. Great job. Same question was the body scratchbuilt?

@Tamiyastef and @Busdriver yes the body is completely scratch built. The exceptions are the CC-02, the winch from RC4WD, the TLU-01, and the printed sandladders.

I remember watching the Camel Trophy back in the early 80’s and it still resonates today. The raft pick is awesome!
