I took this picture while traveling through Death Valley in southern California. It was 112°F that day and we had dogs with us, making it way too hot to stop for more than a couple minutes.

112, that is NOTHING, we have had that kind of temps for about 36 days. I must admit though, we have some MAJOR humidity to boot. I am getting hot just looking at this photo, gotta run inside to the A/C, oh wait, I am inside. Another day in Houston>>>

great shot location Steve, I remember that sign from when I was kid we travelled through back in 88 or so and Death Valley was the coldest place in the country that day like high 40s or 50F it was quite ironic most of the people were wearing coats lol!

Thanks all! @Wyo: We really did have a nice time out there, but winter really is the best for extended visits; It's actually not a bad place to camp!
